[Day 822] Dance your way through life

Some friends messaged me that I seemed rather down in my previous blog posts. I appreciate their concern and I’m happy to say that the down phase is over. I’m doing great. I’m feeling great. I rarely have the urge to just lie in bed and do nothing. When that happens, it’s because I’m a bum and not because I’m sad. I even went on a date. I was so awkward that I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t want a second date, but this still made me happy. [Day 68] The danger of the “What’s up” message

I have a love-hate relationship with all the I’m-bored-and-just-want-you-to-entertain-me kind of messages: “What’s up”, “How are you”, “What’s new”, “Hey”. On the one hand, it’s flattering as it means someone thinks of me once in while. On the other hand, it’s annoying as it leaves me nothing to respond to. If I do respond, the best it could amount to was some pointless small talk. Take this conversation:

A: “How are you?”

B: “Pretty good. You?”

A: “Good.”
